That's right! I know there was not much happening recently, the last official update was on Nov 18, 2020 (see GitHub for details), but be reassured - work is in progress. I do not have many ideas regarding the future of the project, I rather plan to port the game to new platforms instead of developing new features. Nevertheless, there are still some areas I want to change or improve:
1) joystick support - Bittboy and RetroFW do not allow to use analog joystick as the devices using these CFWs do not have any. Still, it can be useful when porting to platforms like GCW0 or RK3326-based handhelds;
2) hold modes - one of my fans noticed that my implementation of tetromino hold mechanism does not stick to the official Tetris Guideline. To be honest, I like the current behaviour of the hold key, but in order to satisfy supporters of the more standard solution, I will implement it. Of course, I do not want to trash the existing mechanism, so I will include the other one as an option. Probably it will be done as a skin-related setting, because it needs a proper skin design to be able to see the held tetromino;
3) more variety of skins and more skins in general - I would really love to see more of them. Unfortunately, my artistic skills are quite limited, therefore some of them already resemble each other. That is why I would like to ask you, the people who read this announcement: skilled artists or not so skilled but keen to help fans - please contribute!
I guess there are more things that could be improved, I keep the list of such things as a part of readme, though not everything is gonna be implemented soon (or ever, as some ideas come, but other become obsolete). It would be nice if you inform me that you wait for some changes in the project - it will help me to prioritize tasks.
